READING, MA — Reading Municipal Light Department (RMLD) invites residential, commercial, and municipal customers to attend a free Solar Workshop on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 7pm at RMLD Headquarters (230 Ash Street, Reading). The workshop will be held at the start of RMLD’s regularly scheduled Board of Commissioners meeting. A reception with light refreshments and informational displays will be held in the lobby beginning at 6:30 pm.
Topics to be covered include:
- An overview of solar energy production and the economics of solar (system pricing, available incentives and rebates, etc.)
- Existing RMLD solar programs (Customer Owned Generation Rate, Solar Choice Program)
- Potential future solar garden
- A comprehensive overview of the solar installation process
Customers who wish to attend are asked to register online HERE for planning purposes. A recording of the workshop will be aired on the local community television stations and posted on www.rmld.com as soon as it is available.
