SELECTMEN NEWS: Finance Director Appointment, Olin, Indoor Recreational Facility Committee To Be Discussed Tuesday Night

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Board of Selectmen is holding a special meeting this Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Town Hall (Room 9) at 7pm.

There are some noteworthy items on the agenda, including:

• Selectmen will discuss the interviews of the two Finance Director/Town Accountant finalists. Selectmen are then expected to make an appointment.
• Town Manager Jeff Hull will update Selectmen on the draft interim action feasibility study for the Olin Chemical Superfund Site. [Some background HERE.]
• Selectmen will consider rescinding the Board of Selectmen vote of May 13, 2019 limiting the Indoor Recreational Facility Committee to one Board of Selectmen designee, and then to appoint an additional member to the Committee. [Some background HERE and HERE.]

The meeting will be telecast live by Wilmington Community Television on WCTV — Channel 9 on Comcast and Channel 37 on Verizon.  The meeting will also be streamed on WCTV’s website HERE.
