Single A: Giants vs. Pirates on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Boutwell Field
The Pirates edged out the Giants 5-4 in a close game on Wednesday night. For the Giants, Matt Roque, Nick Cummings, Henry Borgen and Jack Salvador collected key hits with Grady Considine and Joe Lane making big plays in the field.
The Pirates were led on the mound by Sean Theodos and Sam Beaudoin, with Sam getting a strikeout to end the game with the tying run on third! They were both able to get key strikeouts when they needed to. Sam Beaudoin, Bradley Stephen, and Jack Jamieson made great defensive plays that saved some runs. The team also had big hits by Bart Zaino, Zach Maiella, and Joshua Lopez.
