BOSTON, MA — The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority is proud to announce that it has once again received Mass Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Public Water System Award. The award was presented at a ceremony on May 7, 2019.
This award recognizes medium and large community systems that have excellent compliance with state and federal drinking water regulations for calendar year in 2018 and no violations in the past 5 years. DEP noted that MWRA has gone beyond compliance by testing for secondary contaminants and by having adequate capacity, which shows exemplary efforts to attain such an excellent record.

Geoff Beyer, Kevin Ciciotte, Doug Kempe, Walter McLaughlin and
Yvette DePeiza, Director of DEP’s Drinking Water Program.
(NOTE: The above announcement is from the MWRA.)
