WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to do in Wilmington on Wednesday, May 15, 2019:
#1) Coffee With A Cop At Library
Drop in to the Wilmington Memorial Library, grab a tea or coffee, and chat with a police officer from 10am to 11am. Learn about the rights of the public as well as the roles and responsibilities of Police and Community in a relaxed and open setting. All questions welcome.
#2) Book Store Next Door Open
The Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library’s Book Store Next Door (183 Middlesex Avenue) is open from 10am to 4pm. All books are $2 or less! Every penny of every sale benefits the Wilmington Memorial Library. Learn more HERE.
#3) Wilmington Yardwaste Center Open
The Wilmington Yardwaste Center on Old Main Street will be open from 8am to 2pm during selected dates for the drop-off of leaves and brush.
Residents will need to purchase a punch-card for $15 in order to enter the yardwaste center. Punch-cards will be available for purchase through the Collector’s Office at Town Hall and will allow up to 5 vehicle trips to the yardwaste center per card. NO GRASS CLIPPINGS OR STUMPS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Commercial vehicles will not be allowed. Make sure to bring photo identification to show you are a Wilmington resident.
#4) Wilmington Conservation Commission Meeting
The Wilmington Conservation Commission meets at 7pm in the Town Hall’s Auditorium. Read the agenda HERE.
#5) Wilmington Board of Selectmen Meeting
The Wilmington Board of Selectmen meets at 6:15pm to interview Finance Director/Town Accountant candidates at Town Hall. Read the agenda HERE. The interviews will be telecast live by Wilmington Community Television on Channel 9 on Comcast and Channel 37 on Verizon. The meeting will also be streamed on WCTV’s website HERE.
