POLICE LOG for May 8: Woburn Driver Issued Summons; Driver Throws Beer Can Out Window; Home Vandalized

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, May 8, 2019:

  • Police handed out handicap citations on Avalon Drive. (1:23am)
  • A caller reported truck with trailer was leaking gas onto roadway on Salem Street. Police caught up with truck. Gas can on trailer had tipped over and was fixed. (8:08am)
  • Stephen J. Schmitz (27, Woburn) was issued a summons for Unlicensed Operation Of A Motor Vehicle and Motor Vehicle Not Meeting RMV Safety Standards. Schmitz was pulled over on Shawsheen Avenue. (9:16am)
  • Reading Light Department located a purse in the woods near Town Park. Police left message for family. (10:00am)
  • A caller reported that her car was heavily damaged in the TJ Maxx parking lot sometime between 9am and now. (1:50pm)
  • An anonymous caller reported an operator of a truck threw a beer can out the window on Jacquith Road. Police unable to locate. (3:52pm)
  • A Chestnut Street caller reported her home was vandalized tonight and believes she knows who did it. (11:08pm)
