POLICE LOG for May 6: Duck Falls Down Chimney & Surprises Homeowners; Rollover On Highway; Suspicious Vehicle

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, May 6, 2019:

  • Police responded to a rollover into the woods on 93 South, near Exit 41. Highway shutdown in both directions. (5:16am)
  • Two callers reported a suspicious vehicle parked outside the Millbrook County Day School. Police responded. Vehicle’s occupants worked for a landscaping company and were waiting for their foreman. They agreed to move vehicle to a better location. (7:42am)
  • Fire Department responded to odor of gas at Santander Bank on Main Street. (12:16pm)
  • Police conducted an ALICE drill at North Intermediate School. (12:45pm)
  • A Congress Street caller reported an Uber driver backed into their mailbox and left the scene. (1:09pm)
  • A caller reported a snapping turtle in the middle of the road at Miller Road and Glen Road. Police cleared the turtle from the roadway. (5:21pm)
  • A Harold Avenue caller reported she has a duck in her living room that fell down the chimney with a nest. Animal Control Officer spoke to caller over the phone. They rectified the situation for the night and officer will stop by first thing in the morning. (10:15pm)
