POLICE LOG for April 25: Don’t Read Your Mail While Driving; 5-Year Old Goes Missing Temporarily; Possum In Pool

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, April 25, 2019:

  • Police assisted with a motor vehicle lockout at Deming Way. (7:02am)
  • Police responded to report of a possum stuck in an above ground pool on Gunderson Road. Possum was removed from pool and sent on its way. (8:00am)
  • A 5-year-old boy was reported missing at the Shawsheen School fields, but quickly located by kids playing soccer. (5:24am)
  • A Nichols Street resident reported her mailbox and neighbor’s mailbox were struck by a vehicle. (6:06pm)
  • Police noted large pot holes in the Shawsheen School tennis courts. (7:00pm)
  • A caller reported vehicle swerving all over the road on Main Street prior to pulling into the CVS parking lot. Police responded. Operator “stated that she thought it was a good idea to read her mail while driving.” (9:17pm)
