SELECTMEN NEWS: Board To Tackle Train Station, Ice Rink, Veteran Services, Key Appointments At April 22 Meeting

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Board of Selectmen meets this Monday, April 22, 2019 at Town Hall (Room 9) at 7pm. An Executive Session precedes the meeting at 6pm to discuss the T-Mobile lawsuit against the town.

There are some noteworthy items on the agenda, including:

  • Wilmington’s Director of Veterans’ Services Lou Cimaglia will provide an update to the Board of Selectmen regarding his department’s programs.
  • Town Manager Jeff Hull will provide Selectmen with an update on the Ice Rink Committee.
  • Town Manager Hull will announce his appointments to various boards, committees and commissions. Selectmen will need to approve/ratify some of them.
  • Selectmen will consider a change in flag stops at the North Wilmington Commuter Station.
  • Selectmen will discuss and assign motions for the Annual Town Meeting.
  • Selectmen will consider the request of the Town Clerk to appoint additional election workers.
  • Selectmen will consider the request of the Wilmington Community Fund to use the Town Common parking lot on Saturday, September 14, 2019, from 9am to 11am.
  • Selectmen will consider the request of Wilmington Boy Scouts Troop 126 to use the Town Common parking lot for a fundraising car wash on Sunday, May 19, 2019, from 8am to 3pm.
  • Selectmen will consider the request of We’re One Wilmington to place signs on the Town Common to advertise its 5K on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 11am.
  • Selectmen will consider the request of resident Kristine Norris to have a Neighborhood Block Party on Gloria Way on Sunday, July 20, 2019.
  • Selectmen will set its summer meeting schedule.

The meeting will be telecast live by Wilmington Community Television on WCTV — Channel 9 on Comcast and Channel 37 on Verizon.  The meeting will also be streamed on WCTV’s website HERE.
