WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Sons of Italy held its 14th Annual “Easter Bunny Breakfast” on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall.
More than 200 residents enjoyed a great breakfast and a visit with the Easter Bunny. All proceeds from the event benefited the Wilmington Sons of Italy Charities — Alzheimer’s Research and Cooley’s Anemia Research. Cooley’s Anemia, more commonly known as Thalassemia, is a blood disorder that commonly affects people of Mediterranean descent. At one time, those who had the most serve form of the disease would not survive into puberty, but thanks to the research, that has changed.
