Student Raising Funds To Create Sean Collier Memorial At Wilmington High

WILMINGTON, MA — The Town of Wilmington has honored its fallen hero Sean Collier in a number of ways, including a playground at Silver Lake and a tree of life at Rotary Park. Now, Wilmington High School senior Joseph Wilson would like to create a memorial stone for Collier in the school’s courtyard.

“Sean was a graduate of WHS Class of 2004. Currently, our school does not have a memorial for Sean and his ultimate sacrifice,” writes Wilson in his GoFundMe campaign. “My purpose in dedicating this memorial is to keep Sean’s memory alive and well at Wilmington High School. By donating to my project, you will help generations of younger students recognize the sacrifices of our heroes that protect us day to day and the sacrifices that each and every one of them make and make sure that Sean is never forgotten.”
