POLICE LOG for April 12: Driver Punches Another Driver In The Face In Road Rage Incident Outside School; Texting Leads To Crash?

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, April 12, 2019:

  • A 2-vehicle crash took place in the MBTA parking lot. 1 operator complained of neck pain. 1 vehicle towed. (7:32am)
  • Animal Control Officer reported a minor motor vehicle crash in front of the Shawsheen Elementary School. A road rage incident occurred where the operator of one vehicle got out of the vehicle and struck the other operator in the face. The victim is still on scene, but the aggressive operator fled the scene. (7:50am)
  • Fire Department responded to 3 students stuck in the high school elevator. Students were able to get out and elevator was shut down for the day. (10:53am)
  • A 2-vehicle crash took place on Ballardvale Street. No injuries. An operator was issued a citation for issuing/receiving electronic messages. (12:37pm)
  • Traffic lights went out at Route 125 and Andover Street after a transformer blew. Police notified RMLD and State Police. (11:25pm)
