POLICE LOG for April 6: Wilmington Man Arrested For 2nd OUI & Drug Offense; UHaul Trailer Falls Off SUV

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, April 6, 2019:

  • A man stated a few juveniles were laying down in Simard’s back parking lot. Juveniles were gone by the time police arrived. (2:44am)
  • A caller reported his UHaul trailer fell off of his vehicle and is now halfway in the roadway on Main Street. Cains Towing lifted vehicle, which was then properly hooked to vehicle. (9:06am)
  • Robert John Clough (40, Wilmington) was arrested for OUI Drugs (2nd Offense); Marked Lanes Violation; Negligent Operation Of Motor Vehicle; and Possession of Class B Drug (Subsequent Offense). A caller stated he witnessed a black pickup truck with “Clough Construction” on the side sitting in front of his house. He stated the operator was speaking jibberish and observed a spoon and syringe in the center console. Police responded and noted a nearby pole was struck and overheard wires were arcing. RMLD notified. (3:09pm)
  • A female party stated that while her husband ran into Market Basket, a younger male party attempted to gain entry into her vehicle while she was sitting in the passenger’s seat. Male party departed. Upon call back, female caller no longer wanted to speak to an officer. (8:00pm)
