POLICE LOG for April 4: Wind Wreaks Havoc; Citations For Failure To Stop For School Buses

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, April 4, 2019:

  • RMLD requested that the Tree Department remove a large tree limb down on Boutwell Street. (12:28am)
  • Police received a 911 call from an elevator in Market Basket. Cleaner stated he was washing the floors and accidentally hit the button. (4:51am)
  • A caller reported trash cans were tipped over on Marcia Road, High Street, and Dadant Drive. She found this suspcisious. Dispatch made her aware that it was extremely windy last night. Caller stilled believed it was some type of vandalism. (5:07am)
  • Sign in traffic island in front of Middle School blew over during the wind storm. Police notified DPW. (7:21am)
  • Fire Department responded to a brush fire and wire down at Andover Street and Treasure Hill Road. RMLD notified. (9:52am)
  • Wildwood Early Childhood Center conducted a fire drill. (10:21am)
  • Caller reported several potholes in the right and left lanes on Concord Street. Police notified DPW. (11:50am)
  • Police issued 2 citations on Burlington Avenue for failure to stop for a school bus. (2:19pm, 2:26pm)
