WILMINGTON, MA — Below is an announcement from the Wilmington Police Department:
During the month of April, the Wilmington Police Department will join the nationwide effort to promote autism awareness. Officers will have the option to wear a new Autism Awareness Patch on their uniform in lieu of the regular WPD patch. Members of the public will be able to purchase these patches for $10 each. 100% of the proceeds will go to support the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism.
Patches can be purchased at the front desk of the Police Department beginning on Monday, April 1, 2019. For more information, contact Officer Stebbins at estebbins@wpd.org.
