Dear Editor,
I am writing this letter in support of Jomarie O’Mahony for Selectman office in WIlmington. I cannot imagine another candidate more suited for this office than Jomarie. I have known her in many different capacities: as a fellow sports mom, as a committee member and leader in local foundations, and as a friend, and her dedication and tenacity continue to stand out to me. Jomarie is constantly striving to bring this community together, and I can only imagine that she would do that at a higher level as a Selectman for our town.
As the founder of We’re One Wilmington, Jomarie has fostered a true sense of community in our wonderful town. This group continues to give back to the community and its members through its drives, scholarships and other programs. The basis of WOW is public service and, as its leader, Jomarie exudes this trait daily.
As an attorney working with families and children, Jomarie sees the everyday struggles that can cripple the family unit. She is a realist, and is comfortable working “in the trenches.” These qualities make her unflappable in the face of stress, a quality I would want in a town Selectman.
In conclusion, Jomarie O’Mahony has my vote for town Selectman. She will speak for us, her constituents, and we can trust that she will be honest and do what is best for the town of Wilmington. After all, she has been working to make Wilmington the town it is for years.
