POLICE LOG for March 13: Disturbance At Cumberland Farms; Friends Don’t Let Friends Drive Drunk; Stolen Ladders

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, March 13, 2019:

  • The button to activate the crossing signal is stuck causing the signal to change with nobody walking to cross at Middlesex Avenue and High Street. Police were able to reset the button. (1:25am)
  • A caller reported she was verbally assaulted by a white male, approximately 55 years old with grey hair, at Cumberland Farms. Police stopped the man on Main Street and spoke with him. (8:01am)
  • A past larceny of an aluminum ladder valued at $100 from a vehicle on Woburn Street was reported. (10:19am)
  • Police received report of a child’s finger stuck in a toy. Before police responded, caller called back and told dispatch that she was able to remove the toy herself. (12:48pm)
  • A Wilton Drive caller stated a contractor left 5 ladders in his backyard and believes that one may have been stolen. Police was able to locate the “missing” ladder on some snow. (4:39pm)
  • Police gave a driver a verbal warning for operating with no headlights. Driver was operating the passenger’s vehicle and was unaware of how to work the headlights. Odor of alcohol was coming from the passenger. (10:09pm)
  • Police cited a driver for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding on Route 125. Vehicle towed. Police transported operator to Mobil on the Run to await a ride. (10:54pm)
