POLICE LOG for March 11: Wilmington Woman Arrested On Shoplifting & Drug Charges; Skimmer At Gas Station?

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, March 11, 2019:

  • Police noted a crane was parked in the North Intermediate School’s parking lot. Registration was revoked. Police left message with owner that crane needs to be removed in the morning via tow. Company had removed trees in the area recently. (2:15am)
  • A gray 2000 Toyota Camry and a brown 2014 Honda Odyssey were involved in a 2-vehicle crash on Burlington Avenue. Icy road conditions noted. No injuries reported. Both vehicles towed. (5:30am)
  • A gray 2005 Honda Civic drove off the road on Andover Street. No injuries. Vehicle towed. (7:29am)
  • A Grove Avenue resident reported their trash barrel was stolen overnight. (7:39am)
  • Fire Department reported a van ran a red light on Main Street, nearly causing an accident. Police were unable to locate. (11:20am)
  • Police notified Mass Highway of a light pole with a broken bracket, swaying in the wind, on Main Street. (4:57pm)
  • Sarah K. Rabbitt (35, Wilmington) was arrested for Possession of a Class B Drug (three charges) and Shoplifting By Concealing.  CVS notified police of a shoplifter in its store. (5:38pm)
  • Police were flagged down by an individual who found a syringe in the area of Middlesex Avenue. Police retrieved to bring back to station for disposal. (6:18pm)
  • Caller reported he was at the AL Prime gas station in Wilmington at 10am and 1:30pm toady and used his debit card. He then noted a fraudulent charge on his credit card from Lowes in New Hampshire. Police noted Pump #1 was missing a security band. Pump was taken out of order. Police notified the owner. (6:57pm)
