WILMINGTON, MA — Below is a recent announcement from the Wilmington Recreation Department:
“The Rookies” T-Ball League Registration Deadline
“The Rookies” T-Ball League open registration deadline is Thursday, March 14. Children that are 5 years old (by 4/30/2019) through 1st grade are eligible to register for their first introduction to the sport of baseball. This co-ed program will begin with players hitting off of a tee (Spring Training!) for the first 2 weeks and progresses into coaches pitching. Teams will receive one 45-minute practice and one 60-minute game each week for 6 weeks, April 22 – May 30. Parents may choose from a Mon./Wed. or a Tue./Thur. schedule. Late registration may continue (based on availability) for a $10.00 late fee beginning on March 15.
Of course, we are always looking for volunteers to help lead our teams as well! Please consider offering your time to serve as a Head Coach, Assistant Coach or Parade Leader. If you have any questions, please email Jay at jmainini@wilmingtonma.gov.
