POLICE LOG for February 25: Pedestrian Struck In Town Hall Parking Lot; Lots Of Trees & Wires Down; School Van Accident

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, February 25, 2019:

  • A driver called to report he struck a deer on Main Street, near Town Park. Deer appeared injured, but still breathing. (5:06am)
  • A 2-vehicle crash involving a North Reading Transportation van with two students on board took place at Lowell Street and 93 North Exit 38 off ramp. No injuries. State Police handled scene. (7:39am)
  • Police received several reports of tree limbs, trees and wires down. For example, a tree fell across the roadway on Molloy Road. (10:57am)
  • A telephone pole was swaying in the wind of Main Street. Police confirmed bottom of pole was worn and appeared broken. Police notified Verizon. (10:57am)
  • A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Town Hall’s parking lot. No injuries noted, but Fire Department did transport pedestrian. (12:14pm)
  • A tree fell into the roadway on Main Street and struck a parked car. Mass Highway notified. (3:53pm)
