WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, February 21, 2019:
- A red 2014 Volkswagen Jetta struck a pole at Salem Street and Anthony Avenue. No injuries noted. Verizon notified. Vehicle towed. (5:10am)
- Police noticed what appeared to be a disabled gray 2007 Ford Focus at Middlesex Avenue and Wildwood Street. Upon investigation, vehicle was not disabled. Driver “is an uber driver who thought it was a good idea to park in an intersection to wait for his pick up.”
- Cummings Management had 2 cars parked in one of its lots on Fordham Road towed for interfering with snow removal. (10:34am)
- Scott A. Steverding (36, Billerica) was issued a summons for larceny by check over $1,200. The incident took place at Citizens Bank on Main Street. (10:39am)
- Police removed a deceased seagull on Williams Avenue. (1:44pm)
- Police out with a vehicle at the Water Department on Andover Street. Driver had trapped a squirrel at his home and was releasing it. Checked OK. (8:15pm)
- A 3-vehicle crash took place at Lowell Street and Woburn Street. No injuries noted. 2 vehicles towed. (11:36pm)
