POLICE LOG for February 4: 6 Mailboxes Vandalized; Car vs. Building; Unusual Request

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, February 4, 2019:

  • Police responded to a dispute between a cab driver and passenger over cab money on Lowell Street. Passenger ended ride and will be picked up by friend. (2:15am)
  • A caller reported an orange tractor trailer struck and damaged a railroad crossing gate at North Wilmington station. Police contacted State Police and North Reading Police. Police notified Amtrak. (9:35am)
  • A walk-in party needed a ring cut off his finger. (10:46am)
  • Multiple callers reported a ladder in the roadway on 93 North. State Police notified. (12:07pm)
  • A Burt Road caller reported mailbox vandalism. Police responded and observed vandalized mailboxes on Hillcrest and Ivy Court as well. (12:30pm)
  • A vehicle struck a building on Evergreen Drive. Town Building Inspector notified. Building maintenance notified. No injuries noted. (1:55pm)
  • Theodore C. Menounos (53, Winchester) was issued a summons for Operating A Motor Vehicle With A Revoked Registration. Menounos was pulled over on West Street. (5:09pm)
