POLICE LOG for December 24: Chelsea Man Arrested; Car Found In Ditch

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, December 24, 2018:

  • Dracut Police requested Wilmington Police make a notification at a Burlington Avenue home after owner’s vehicle was found in a ditch in their town. No answer at door. (8:36am)
  • A walk-in party reported an offensive Instagram post. (11:47am)
  • A Wirth Avenue caller reported a possible rabid raccoon in their trash barrel. Resident was able to wheel the barrel into the woods and the squirrels inside ran away. (12:21pm)
  • Police arrested Douglas L. Bevis, Jr. (28, Chelsea) for Malicious Destruction Of Property Valued At Under $1,200; Trespassing; and Outstanding Warrant. (12:30pm)
  • Police assisted with a motor vehicle lockout in the Market Basket parking lot. (2:52pm)
