POLICE LOG for December 18: 2 Arrested After Theft From TJ Maxx; Man Arrested For Assault & Battery

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Tuesday, December 18, 2018:

  • A 10-foot section of pole sheared off and fell into Glen Road roadway. Police cleared debris. Police contacted Verizon, who said they would send someone out first thing in the morning to inspect. (1:54am)
  • A Target employee reported a customer’s vehicle window was smashed while in store. Police responded. Vehicle did not appear to be broken into. After viewing security footage, police were unable to determine how window was broken. (10:32am)
  • A Bailey Road caller reported their lawn was drove over sometime overnight, causing damage. (11:07am)
  • Christopher B. Auld (28, Haverhill) and Catherine E. Bradley (28, Tewksbury) were arrested. Auld was charged with larceny under $1,200. Bradley was charged with receiving stolen property under $1,200 (subsequent offense). A male was observed walking out of TJ Maxx in Wilmington with an arm full of clothing and got into a dark gray sedan. Tewksbury Police notified. Tewksbury Police pulled over vehicle on Main Street in Tewksbury, near Archstone apartment complex. The male party in question was the passenger. Clothing was found in the vehicle. Wilmington Police transported back to Public Safety Building. (12:41pm)
  • Tender Learning Center on Main Street was evacuated after burning odor was smelled. Half the building’s power was out. Fire Department responded. (1:01pm)
  • Police issued a citation to a driver for improper display of red emergency flashing lights in the vehicle’s grill. (4:49pm)
  • James K. Dunnett (52, North Reading) was arrested on Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon. (6:29pm)
