WILMINGTON, MA — An Italian bakery may soon be coming to Wilmington, and a familiar name is attached to the project.
Rick Lowe, co-owner of Tremezzo, is seeking to put a bakery in at the former Edible Arrangements location in the Square One Plaza at 2 Lowell Street.
“We are close to signing a lease,” Lowe told Wilmington Apple. “It would be just a couple of doors down from our [Tremezzo] restaurant.”
While still in its early stages, the bakery will likely be called “Josie’s Market and Bakery,” named after Lowe’s wife’s Italian grandmother.
“We will have some great meats, cheeses, Italian breads, cakes, cupcakes, and more,” said Lowe. “We have an incredibly talented pastry chef who will blow your socks off!”
Wilmington Apple is told that fans of Tremezzo are guaranteed to love Josie’s Market and Bakery!
As Tremezzo celebrates its 4-year anniversary in town this month, Lowe, James Martin and their team hope to bring another successful, popular business to Wilmington in 2019.
