Pints + Pages Book Group *RR

Instead of discussing a particular book this month, we’ll meet up to share your latest favorite reads, watches & listens! Plus get great recommendations from others. Bring along at least two (books, movies, series, podcasts, etc.) to share! If you don’t have it in hand, that’s okay! Just remember the title.

Fiction Critique Group *RR

Whether you are drafting a short story or a novel, joining our Critique Group is a great opportunity to meet other writers and get constructive feedback in a supportive environment. When registering, please provide your email address so you can receive an agenda and any prep materials before the meeting. Open to all experience levels writing in all genres. The Science of Happiness *RR

Do you ever find yourself wishing you could feel happier? Many of us do and we think we will feel happier as a result of something – such as finding a new job, finishing a project, losing 10 pounds, etc. However, psychologists and neurologists are now realizing that happiness can be more readily achieved through changing the way we think. Lizzie Linn Casanave, professor of philosophy at NECC, will explain this revolutionary concept and provide you with practical tools for achieving this new mindset.
Winter Coffee House: The Last Duo

Nothing better than live music to chase away the winter blues! Hear the sounds of the 60s and 70s with Dan Sirois and Greg Decoteau, who together are The Last Duo. This popular event is back! Come to this marathon read and eat-in. Bring something comfortable to lounge upon and read away. Munch on yummy snacks, enjoy a hot chocolate topping bar, and finish with a pizza party. Grades 4-8
Hygge Week: As Seen on TV: Bob Ross Painternoon *RR
Friday, December 28, 2-4 pm
Channel the zen painting mastery of Bob Ross and create a winter scene on canvas with acrylics. Grades 6-12
Noon Year’s Eve *RR
Monday, December 31, 11 am
Ring in the New Year a little early! We’ll make party hats and noise makers, have some fun snacks and make some noise as we watch the ball drop and count down until noon. Grades Kindergarten-5
