POLICE LOG for November 15: Dorchester Teen Arrested; Homeowners Blowing Leaves & Pumping Water Onto Streets

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, November 15, 2018:

  • Jeannita Syle (19, Dorchester) was arrested on a warrant. Syle had called police from Cumberland Farm after missing the last train. She asked for a ride to an Orange Line train stop or to a friend’s house in Tewksbury. (1:00am)
  • Lights at the south end of the Market Basket plaza were not functioning properly. Light was turning red every 10 seconds. Mass Highway notified. (7:08am)
  • A passerby reported that a Glen Road resident was blowing leaves into the street. Police advised the resident. (3:07pm)
  • Police noticed water was bubbling from out of the ground and onto the street, causing an icy condition on Carter Lane and Norfolk Avenue. Resident was advised that her sump pump was causing the issue. DPW notified. (5:32pm)
  • A gray 2007 Cadillac struck a pole on Burlington Avenue. Minor damage to pole. Vehicle towed. (8:53pm)
  • A truck and trailer jackknifed at the intersection of Main Street and Burlington Avenue. Trailer hitch broke on truck. Another truck will pick up trailer. (9:19pm)
