POLICE LOG for November 6: Lots Of Political Signs Placed On Town Property Night Before Election; Harassment At Polls

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Tuesday, November 6, 2018:

  • A political sign was removed from the middle of a traffic island on Middlesex Avenue. (2:06am)
  • 2 political signs were removed from town property at the old Whitfield School site. (2:08am)
  • A political sign was removed from the traffic island at Concord Street and Federal Street. (2:11am)
  • A political sign was removed from the Boutwell School property. (2:32am)
  • 2 political signs were removed from town-owned land on Shawsheen street. (2:38am)
  • A citizen at the Wildwood School claimed she was being harassed at the polls by another resident. The incident was referred to Town Clerk Sharon George. (11:41am)
  • Police came across teenage boys using an airsoft gun on Liberty Street. Police contacted their parents and made them aware of the town’s bylaws. (12:01pm)
  • A caller reported an aggressive driver that was tailgating and flashing their highbeams on Glen Road. Caller reported vehicle eventually crossed into Billerica. Wilmington Police contacted Billerica Police. (6:09pm)
  • Police officer was flagged down by a motorist reporting a suspicious black BMW in the Target parking lot, possibly engaged in drug activity. Vehicle was gone upon arrival. (7:18pm)
