POLICE LOG for November 5: Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle; Handbags Stolen From TJ Maxx; Cement Truck Issues

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, November 5, 2018:

  • Police received report of a branch on a tree on fire on Butters Row. RMLD was notified. (6:25am)
  • A Parker Street caller reported a squirrel was in her vehicle overnight. (7:46am)
  • Police out with a dump truck that spilled asphalt in the roadway. Benvento’s notified and enroute. Mass State Police Truck Team also notified and responded. (9:18a)
  • A past larceny from a patient was reported by staff at Woodbriar Nursing Home on West Street. (11:14am)
  • An employee at Jimmy’s Garage reported a theft of cigarettes. (12:09pm)
  • A caller reported a theft of 8-10 handbags from TJ Maxx yesterday around 3:44pm. (12:12pm)
  • A driver for Benevento’s cement truck was issued a citation for overweight vehicle being operated on Butters Row Bridge. Driver was advised of laws and agreed to go around and not use bridge. (1:59pm)
  • A pedestrian was struck by a White 2018 Honda Civic on Main Street, in front of MBTA train station. State Police Accident Recon team was notified. Northbound traffic on Main Street was temporarily shut down. (6:07pm)
  • A caller reported two teens were running around throwing rocks at each other. Police were unable to locate. (11:29pm)
