WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, October 17, 2018:
- A broken down tanker was leaking coolant on Main Street. Police notified MassDOT and Fire Department. (6:55am)
- Animal Control Officer freed a squirrel stuck in a dumpster outside Abundant Life. (9:20am)
- Animal Control Officer took an injured seagull to Tufts Veterinary Hospital. (10:20am)
- A caller reported she was sideswiped by a black pickup truck and knocked over while walking on Chestnut Street yesterday. (11:00am)
- A caller reported an operator of a vehicle was opening the door and hanging out of the vehicle while operating down Salem Street. Police spoke to operator of vehicle, who checked OK. He stated he was trying to get a bee out of the car. (11:56am)
- Fire Department responded to a small gas spill at Cumberland Farms. (12:37pm)
- A Nickerson Avenue caller reported someone just tried to break into her home. A male party set off motion lights, moved a ladder against the home’s exterior, and ran off. A partial footprint was noted on the storm door of the residence. Witnesses saw a man wearing a hoodie flee, described as tall, slender, and waring dark pants and dark grey hoodie. (8:27pm)
- An Aldrich Road resident reported her TV was stolen while she wasn’t home. She believes it was her ex-husband. (10:32pm)
