POLICE LOG for October 12: Worcester Man Arrested; Injured Bird Rescued

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, October 12, 2018:

  • Animal Control Officer transported an injured bird from Ballardvale Street to Tufts Veterinary Center. (8:18am)
  • Erick J. Benson (41, Worcester) was arrested on a warrant. Wilmington Police located Benson at the request of Worcester Police. (9:26am)
  • A Fairview Avenue caller reported they viewed on their surveillance camera a man ring their doorbell and then walk across the street into a neighbor’s yard. Police responded. Man was from Mosquito Squad and was servicing the properties. (11:33am)
  • Police notified DPW of a clogged storm drain in the area of Wing Road and Woburn Street. (4:50pm)
  • A caller reported she left a black backpack with a computer inside on the bleaches in the high school gym. (11:08pm)
