POLICE LOG for October 11: Wilmington Man Arrested For 2nd OUI; Truck vs. Building; Car vs. Fire Hydrant

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, October 11, 2018:

  • Animal Control Officer notified Mass Highway of a deceased coyote on the side of Route 125. (8:22am)
  • Philip P. Perry (63, Wilmington) was arrested for OUI Liquor (2nd Offense); Marked Lanes Violation; and Failure To Signal. Perry was pulled over on Harnden Street. (9:26am)
  • A caller reported approximately 10 minutes ago, a white box truck backed into the Little Sprouts Daycare’s parking lot and struck the building, causing damage. The truck then exited the lot. Police were unable to locate. (1:16pm)
  • Manager at Salvation Army reports an employee had a verbal altercation with a customer who almost struck a light pole when leaving the lot. Salvation Army will trespass if the customer returns. (1:22pm)
  • A car struck a fire hydrant on Boutwell Street. Car took off. Police notified Water Department and Fire Department. (4:08pm)
  • A Dunkin Donuts employee found a wallet with a large sum of money inside, no ID, and a check. Two parties speaking Spanish at the counter were requesting the wallet, but had no ID matching the name on the check. Police responded. One of the parties was able to recall the amount of money and other items in the wallet. Name on the check matched the name he gave as well. Situation checked OK. (7:17pm)
