POLICE LOG for October 7: Police Help North Reading & Tewksbury In Searches For Suspects; Car Flips On Its Side

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Sunday, October 7, 2018:

  • Wilmington Police assisted North Police with setting up a perimeter for a search for two breaking & entering suspects on Fox Run Lane. (4:52am)
  • A walk-in party reported a currently unoccupied Honda crashed into a fire hydrant on Liberty Street. Police traveled to driver’s place of employment in Burlington and will issue summons for leaving the scene of property damage. Vehicle was towed. There appeared to be no damage to the hydrant, but Water Department will check. (10:12am)
  • A caller reported vandalism done to a vehicle overnight on Fiorenza Drive. Driver’s side front window was closed. (11:41am)
  • A caller reported an ice cream truck was operating erratically on Main Street and Church Street. Police spoke with driver. Situation checked OK. (3:54pm)
  • State Police responded to a car on its side (black 2004 Chevy Trailblazer) on 93 North Exit 40 ramp. (6:19pm)
  • A car drove into a front porch on Sandy Lane. Airbag deployed. No injuries noted. (8:18pm)
  • Wilmington Police assisted Tewksbury Police with search for a suspect involved in an armed car jacking at the 7/11 in Tewksbury. Wilmington Police captured the man on Oakdale Avenue in Tewksbury. (10:06pm)
