POLICE LOG for September 26: Speeding Complaints; Syringe Found; Large Building Evacuated

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, September 26, 2018:

  • A Marion Street resident reported vehicles are speeding down this street every morning. She is sometimes unable to get to her mailbox. She offered her driveway a spot for cruisers to conduct traffic control. (6:11am)
  • Police retrieved syringe on Kilmarnock Street. Residents in area requested extra patrols due to suspicious behavior. (9:43am)
  • Fire Department responded to fire alarm at Monogram Foods on Ballardvale Street. Building was evacuated after reports of faint odor of smoke. (11:21am)
  • Police assisted a school bus with getting past a crane blocking the roadway on Harold Avenue. (2:32pm)
  • A 2-vehicle crash took place on Concord Street near 93 North on-ramp. Both vehicles towed. No injuries noted. (3:19pm)
  • Police intercepted a large truck trying to go over Butters Row Bridge. (4:44pm)
