POLICE LOG for September 21: Bad Crash At Glen Rd. & Harnden St.; Car vs. Scooter; Injured Seagull

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, September 21, 2018:

  • Police came upon a party walking on Middlesex Avenue. Party was an employee of Lisa’s Pizza in Woburn and his vehicle had broken down. He was walking back to his residence in North Andover. Police dropped him off at Merrimack College. (1:01am)
  • A 2-vehicle crash occurred at Harnden Street and Glen Road with injuries and airbag deployment. Citation issued to one of the driver’s for a stop sign violation. Stop sign was knocked down during accident. DPW notified. One operator transported to hospital. Both vehicles towed. (11:44am)
  • A car struck a motorized scooter on Main Street. Scooter operator refused medical attention and left scene. (1:34pm)
  • Police conducted a station tour for a Girl Scouts troop. (5:00pm)
  • A caller reported an injured bird in the parking lot of Aramark on Ballardvale Street. Caller believed bird was an eagle. Police noted it was a seagull. Caller was given several wildlife rescue phone numbers to try and notified that Animal Control Officer would follow up in morning. (5:38pm)
  • A caller returned after a week away and found his front door open. Police conducted walk-through — house checked OK. (10:14pm)
  • A caller reported the doors to his apartment was vandalized on an ongoing basis. (10:52pm)
