POLICE LOG for September 14: Driver Issued Summons; Large Truck On Butters Row Bridge; Bike Abandoned At CVS

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, September 14, 2018:

  • Manager at Red Heat Tavern reported he saw a vehicle in the back lot, parked there for possibly several hours. He felt it was odd and wanted an officer to check it out. Police responded. Two parties were looking for a lost ring. Checked OK. Ring was eventually found. (1:22am)
  • Guerby A. Centatus (30, Haverhill) was issued a summons for Operating A Motor Vehicle With A Suspended License and Speeding. (1:49am)
  • Benevento truck took down wire on Shawsheen Avenue. Homeowner and Benevento worked to resolved issue. Verizon notified. (7:18am)
  • Police noted a train at North Wilmington station was blocking Route 62. (9:34am)
  • Police assisted with backing a truck up from Butters Row back onto Main Street. Driver was attempting to drive over bridge. (1:05pm)
  • CVS employee reported a Giant Sedona mountain bike has been abandoned in their entrance way for several days. Police advised CVS they can remove it or store it. (3:04pm)
  • Resident accidentally left gas stove on while they were out. Fire Department responded and handled. (8:03pm)
  • Cochrane Road resident reported a group of juvenile males in the area banging on doors and running way. Police were unable to locate. (10:41pm)
