POLICE LOG for September 9: Police Break Window After Motor Vehicle Lockout With Kids Inside; Several Crashes

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Sunday, September 9, 2018:

  • A motor vehicle crash caused property damage to a Chestnut Street home. Vehicle was towed. (12:58am)
  • Police received report of other vehicles parked blocking other vehicles at Town Hall parking lot. An announcement was made and the issue corrected itself. (10:57am)
  • A motor vehicle lockout took place in the Yentile Farm parking lot. Police received authorization from owner to break the front passenger side window. Children were safely removed. (12:30pm)
  • A caller reported fraudulent use of his son’s credit card at GameStop in Wilmington. (5:12pm)
  • A caller reported a loud explosion and two power lines down in the roadway on Andover Street. Fire Department and Reading Municipal Light Department responded. (6:06pm)
  • A 2-vehicle crash occurred on Adams Street. No airbags deployed. Both vehicles towed. All parties refused medical attention. (7:14pm)
  • A minor 2-vehicle crash took place near The Corner Store on Shawsheen Avenue. Parents picked up the vehicles and the juveniles. (9:11pm)
