POLICE LOG for September 1: Wilmington Man Issued Summons After Car Struck Pedestrian; Suspicious Activity In School Parking Lot

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, September 1, 2018:

  • Police located a vehicle in the Town Beach parking lot and advised two parties of the beach’s hours. Parties were sent on their way. (12:45am)
  • MBTA train stopped at North Wilmington station blocked Middlesex Avenue. (7:53am)
  • Clayton J. Wentzell, Jr. (62, Wilmington) was issued a summons for Reckless Operation Of Motor Vehicle. Wentzell, driving a black 2004 Cadillac DeVille, allegedly struck a pedestrian in the area of Market Basket on Main Street. (12:51pm)
  • Police noted illegal dumping of cabinets and furniture on Main Street. (6:05pm)
  • Suspicious male party in all black was walking around Shady Lane Drive. Resident requested extra patrols. Individual in question got into vehicle and turned onto High Street, towards North Reading. Wilmington Police notified North Reading Police. (8:19pm)
  • Police came across a tractor trailer unloading a car in the North Intermediate School’s parking lot. Situation checked OK. Customer lived nearby on Salem Street, which has tractor trailer restrictions. (9:42pm)
