POLICE LOG for August 30: Wilmington Man Facing Charges For Alleged 3rd OUI; Wilmington Man Arrested On Warrant

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, August 30, 2018:

  • Train blocking Middlesex Avenue at MBTA North Wilmington Station. (9:36am)
  • Joshua A. Blackburn (28, Wilmington) was arrested on a warrant. (11:35am)
  • Fire Department responded to smoldering mulch outside of CVS. (12:19pm)
  • Police removed unruly passenger from train at Wilmington station. Dispute over expired Charlie Card. Party agreed to pay cash on next inbound train. (1:30pm)
  • Rocco’s employee reported a male party was asked to leave after arriving intoxicated. Police unable to locate. Police received written statement from GM, who will email surveillance footage. (4:18pm)
  • John A. Saviano (51, Wilmington) was issued a summons for OUI (3rd Offense); Negligent Operation Of Motor Vehicle; Leaving Scene Of Property Damage; and Vandalizing Property. Saviano was tracked down after a resident reported someone drove through her yard and hit a light post while she was out. (5:29pm)
  • Police received report of an adult female operating an orange moped on Hathaway Road, taking small children for rides without helmets. (7:29pm)
