POLICE LOG for August 24: Tewksbury Man Issued Summons; Copper Stolen From Industrial Way Company; Baby Squirrels

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, August 24, 2018:

  • An employee reported a large amount of copper wire stolen overnight at Nardone Electric on Industrial Way. (9:07am)
  • Woman reported at lost pocketbook at McDonald’s. Caller put handbag into the back of the wrong vehicle. When she realized it wasn’t her vehicle, she exited the vehicle and forgot the bag. (9:39am)
  • A caller reported gravel was spilled all up on the 93 North 40 ramp. Police notified Benvento’s for cleanup. (10:52am)
  • A walk-in party reported she opened a fraudulent Microsoft request and her information was stolen. (10:57am)
  • Train at MBTA North Wilmington station was blocking Route 62. (11:19am)
  • An Allenhurst Way resident reported their trash barrel was stolen. (2:07pm)
  • A Chestnut Street caller found baby squirrels. Their eyes aren’t even open. Animal Control Officer notified. (3:20pm)
  • Paul K. Fleming (57, Tewksbury) was issued a summons for Unlicensed Operation Of A Motor Vehicle, Number Plate Violation, No/Expired Inspection Sticker, Forge/Misuse of RMV Document, Unregistered Motor Vehicle, and Tire Tread Depth Violation. Fleming was pulled over on Lake Street. (6:23pm)
  • A male party dropped items from his backpack after running out of CVS. Police unable to locate. Police checked with employees and reviewed video security footage — unclear if man took anything from store. (6:35pm)
