POLICE LOG for August 17: Suspicions Man Taking Photos, Road Hazards, Sparking Wires

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, August 17, 2018:

  • An anonymous caller reported he was approached by an elderly white male in a tie dye shirt carrying a camera. Party was asking questions about previous residents on Marion Street. Police responded. Party was in the area to take photos of his childhood home. Checks OK. (11:34am)
  • Police contacted Mass Highway regarding a bag of concrete in the road on Main Street. (1:28pm)
  • A Pilling Road caller reported a possible scam involving a chimney cleaning company. Police responded. Salesman’s paperwork appeared to be legitimate. (3:30pm)
  • A caller reported a large amount of gravel in the roadway on Andover Street, creating a possible hazard for motorcycles. Police notified DPW. (5:19pm)
  • Police notified RMLD of wires sparking at Belmont Street and Hanover Street. (7:46pm)
  • A caller reported a street sign to Oakridge Circle Ext. is missing. Police notified DPW. (9:07pm)
