POLICE LOG for August 12: OUI Arrest; Graphic Image Drawn On Street Sign; Flooded Roadways

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Sunday, August 12, 2018:

  • Robert W. Johnson, Jr. (40, Billerica) was arrested for OUI Liquor, Marked Lanes Violations, and Failure To Wear A Seat belt. Johnson was pulled over on Shawsheen Avenue. (1:35am)
  • A resident on Suncrest Avenue reported the street was flooding and impassable. Police found road to be passable, but noted water was building up. Police notified DPW, which noted drain in question is a known issue. (10:24am)
  • A graphic picture was drawn on a street sign in the Reed Street area. Policied notified DPW. (10:27am)
  • A caller reported flooded roadways in the Salem Street area. Vehicles were able to pass. Large portion of puddle was actually in North Reading. North Reading Police notified. (11:00am)
  • MBTA inbound train at North Wilmington station was blocking Middlesex Avenue. (1:45pm)
  • A CVS supervisor requested an officer review security footage of a man that came into the store at approximately 3:30pm, took several pictures of the cash register area, and then left. (4:40pm)
