POLICE LOG for August 7: Tewksbury Man Arrested After Allegedly Using Fentanyl In Dunkin Donuts Restrooms; Missing Child; Car Fire On 93

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Tuesday, August 7, 2018:

  • A Ring Avenue caller reported her house was vibrating and she could hear a high pitch noise. While on the phone, the caller’s mother realized the garden hose in the backyard was slightly on, causing the vibration. (1:30am)
  • Julio Cesar Abreu (39, Lowell) was issued a summons for Operating A Motor Vehicle with a Suspended or Revoked Registration; Speeding; and No/Expired Inspection Sticker. (5:54am)
  • Gates were stuck down for about 5 minutes at North Wilmington Station. Train conductor stepped down to help conduct traffic. Train issue was eventually resolved. (6:33am)
  • Fire and Police responded to a black 1998 Volvo SE on fire on 93 South, near the Exit 38 ramp. (9:44am)
  • A caller reported a dump truck with L&M written on it has small rocks falling out of its back everytime it hits a bump. Last seen turning onto Boutwell Street. Police unable to locate. (10:50am)
  • Jason Hines (44, Tewksbury) was arrested for Possession of a Class B Drug (Fentanyl). A caller reported a tall male, wearing gauged earrings, a gray hat, a gray t-shirt, shorts, and glasses, spent a large amount of time in both bathrooms at the Dunkin Donuts on Middlesex Avenue. Male then loitered in front of the store.  Caller then checked the bathrooms and found numerous needles. (1:21pm)
  • A Hopkins Street caller reported finding “explicit paperwork” in her driveway this morning and requested an officer respond. (2:00pm)
  • A caller reported her daughter witnessed a solicitor open the door to their house and place a Sweet Pizza menu inside the house. Dispatch contacted Sweet Pizza and obtained number for solicitor. Dispatch requested solicitor meet an officer on North Street. Officer advised party not to open any doors while dropping off menus. (3:32pm)
  • State Police requested Wilmington Police check for a female party making self-threatening statements. Female stated she was going to drive into a tree. Police located female at Dunkin Donuts on Ballardvale Street. (5:44pm)
  • During a search for a missing juvenile out of Bedford whose cell phone pinged in Wilmington, a MBTA train was blocking Middlesex Avenue at North Wilmington station. Police spoke with house where phone pinged. Homeowner said no juveniles at the house, but she did see a group of juveniles running up and down the street prior to police arrival.  Police checked side roads but were unable to locate. (9:36pm)
