POLICE LOG for August 6: Choking Dog; More Train Issues; Dogs Not Allowed On Or Around Town Beach

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, August 6, 2018:

  • Railroad gates were down and the lights were flashing on Salem Street, but no train was in sight. Police notified Keholis. (5:18am)
  • Animal Control Officer had conversation with resident regarding ongoing bylaw violation by bringing a dog in a restricted area of Silver Lake. Officer advised her she will be be fined anytime she is in violation going forward. (8:19am)
  • A parked vehicle was struck by another vehicle in the Target parking lot. (12:48pm)
  • Police received a 911 open line from a home on Marcia Road. On call back, man said wife called because their dog was choking, but the food was removed from his throat and he’s fine now. Police responded and confirmed story. (4:00pm)
  • Male party’s phone and ID found at Wilmington Center train station and turned into station. Police contacted Billerica Police, who made contact with owner. (5:00pm)
  • An anonymous caller reported a male party making threats. (9:10pm)
