POLICE LOG for July 25: Tractor Trailer Travels Over Butters Row Bridge; Train Gates Remain Up As Train Comes Through

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, July 25, 2018:

  • A Broad Street reported recycling truck drove over lawn and damaged sidewalk. Police notified DPW. (10:40am)
  • Police received reported of solicitors in the area of Adams Street and Parker Street. Police responded. Individuals were not solicitors, but members of a church talking to residents. (10:42am)
  • A Brattle Street resident reported a white BMX bike was left on her front lawn. (3:38pm)
  • A caller reported a hit and run near Reading Cooperative Bank on Middlesex Avenue. The other involved vehicle fled towards 93. (6:00pm)
  • A caller reported a car carrier tractor trailer went over the Butters Row Bridge. Another motorist told police the vehicle left scraps on the bridge. Police were unable to locate vehicle. Police notified DPW to check for damage. (6:05pm)
  • A passerby flagged down police to report the train gates did not go down on Clark Street for a train about 5 minutes ago. Keolis was on scene and requested police assist for the next incoming train. (7:04pm)
