Dear Editor,
Once in a while, one of my conservative friends will try to get me to join the Republican party, but ever since I was eighteen years old, I have always stayed unenrolled. The biggest reason is because I like to vote based on the person, not the party.
As an unenrolled voter, come this September 4th I will be requesting a ballot to vote in the Democratic Primary, specifically so I can vote for Judy O’Connell.
I have known and worked with Judy for many years, as a resident, a town official, and an advocate for veterans. She is exactly the kind of person that I want to represent me at the State House. She is smart, sincere and honest. She is feisty when she needs to be, but she never takes a gratuitous shot at anyone. I don’t know anyone that works harder than she does, and I know from experience she will be a tireless worker for the residents of Wilmington and Tewksbury. To me, these qualities are the most important ones for a public official to have, and I ask my fellow unenrolled and “independent” voters to join me in casting a vote for Judy O’Connell.
Sincerely,
Louis Cimaglia IV
