POLICE LOG for July 15: Mailbox & Street Signs Stolen; Road Rage; Burglar Alarm

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Sunday, July 15, 2018:

  • Police responded to burglar alarm at Enterprise on Main Street. Building checked secure. Police noticed a BB-type projectile hole in the center front window pane. Unsure if it’s new or old. (12:11am)
  • A road rage incident was reported. Caller reported while traveling westbound on Lowell Street, she was yielding to a responding ambulance when a tractor trailer unit was tailgating her and honking its horn. Truck pulled into the Shell Gas Station. Police responded and restored the peace. (2:36am)
  • A Cottonwood Circle caller reported a neighbor’s mailbox was missing and mail is in the roadway. Caller also stated two street signs were missing. Police responded and confirmed. DPW contacted. (8:48am)
  • A caller reported a male was sitting under a tree in her Burnap Street Yard. He appears to be intoxicated. Police placed 61-year-old Wilmington man in protective custody. (3:02pm)
  • Police assisted with a motor vehicle lockout of a running car on Shawsheen Avenue. (4:24pm)
  • A caller reported a vehicle with New Hampshire license plates was pumping gas at Jimmy’s Garage. Caller believed gas station was closed. (5:14pm)
  • Police advised that dogs are not allowed at Town Beach. (5:15pm)
  • A blue 2004 BMW UT and a gray 2017 Toyota Sienna were involved in a crash on Richmond Street. Airbags deployed. Both vehicles towed. No injuries noted. (10:15pm)
  • Person on Dana Court accidentally butt-dialed 911. (11:13pm)
