Dear Editor,
I am writing in full and unhesitating support of Erin Buckley for State Representative. I’ve known Erin and her husband for nearly a decade, by way of our involvement with the Tewksbury Community Food Pantry. Her volunteer work at the pantry functions as a microcosm of who she is, both as a person and as a candidate; she is selfless, hard-working, and a natural leader.
When she announced her candidacy for the 19th Middlesex, my first and only thought was “This has to happen!”. There is absolutely no one else in this race, of either party, whose experience matches hers. And beyond her academic record, appointed positions within Tewksbury’s town government, and multiple tenures in the State House already — beyond all of that is what matters most: her political intelligence and her ability to apply it for the greater good of our shared district.
Some candidates think it’s just their turn, others may think that for some demographical reason they can waltz into their chosen offices, but Erin has worked tirelessly to make herself ready for this, ready to be the best Representative she can be — for all of us.
So vote Erin Buckley in the primary on September 4th — and vote for her again come November! She really is the future we need!
Sincerely,
Jay H. Arthur
Tewksbury
