POLICE LOG for June 27: Home Invasion Leads To K9 Search; 2 More Scares For Homeowners; Syringe Found

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, June 27, 2018:

  • An Oak Street caller reported seeing someone in the wooded area behind her home with a flashlight. Police unable to locate. (12:15am)
  • A caller reported locating a syringe at a driveway entrance on Upton Drive. Police retrieved for disposal. (9:55am)
  • Shell Gas station employee reported a possible intoxicated driver, who took a right onto Lowell Street. Police unable to locate. (5:39pm)
  • A Chestnut Street resident reported an unknown male walked into his back door. When caller went to see who it was, male party ran out of the house in an unknown direction with an unknown description. K9 search conducted. Police unable to locate. (8:49pm)
  • A caller reported her and her boyfriend were just assaulted by their tenant. Police responded. Parties were separated. No further information. (10:50pm)
  • A Lloyd Road caller reported voices outside her window and requested check of property. Police did a check of the house and located no one outside. However, it was apparent that at some point someone was pulling on the outside door, and that a piece of the screen was pulled out in the back of the house. An extra request for patrols in the area was requested. (11:32pm)
