TEWKSBURY, MA — Tewksbury Police Department is pleased to announce the addition of Patrolman Kayla Sheehan and Patrolman Matthew Donovan to the ranks of the Tewksbury Police Department.
Officer Kayla Sheehan transitioned to the Department on Tuesday, May 29th, 2018 after serving with the Acton Police Department for two years. She also served as a dispatcher at the Westford Police Department for three years before attending the Lowell Police Academy in May of 2015. Officer Donovan also began serving the citizens of Tewksbury on May 29th after graduating from the NECC-Methuen Police Academy.
Officer Sheehan was highly recommended by her supervisors at the Acton Police Department and comes to the Tewksbury Police Department with an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Middlesex Community College. Officer Donovan received a meritorious achievement award while attending the NECC-Methuen Police Academy and comes to the Tewksbury Police Department with a Bachelor’s Degree in Justice Studies from the University of New Hampshire. Both Officers have a long family history of protecting and serving the Tewksbury community.
We have extremely high hopes and expectations for both new Officers and are confident that they will represent the highest standards of modern law enforcement and the finest traditions of the Tewksbury Police Department. The future of the Tewksbury Police Department just got brighter.
